<p>If you are looking for a summer internship that will provide a meaningful work experience and a chance to improve your skills, then Bio-Rad is for you! Our interns get the opportunity to train with state-of-the-art equipment, instruments, and facilities.</p>
<p>We offer paid internships in finance, human resources, marketing, information technology, engineering, biochemistry, microbiology, quality control and assurance, environmental health and safety, and research and development. This dynamic program takes you out of the classroom and into the real world. You&#8217;ll gain experience and contacts to jump-start your career and get a taste of professional life.</p>
<p>To be considered for the program, you must meet all of the following qualifications:</p>
<ul id="faqlist">
<li>You must have completed your sophomore or junior year by June at an accredited college or university with plans to return to school in the following term (you are not eligible for this program if you have already graduated)</li>
<li>Have a grade point average of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale)</li>
<li>Be eligible to work in the United States</li>
<li>Be willing to make a full-time commitment of 40 hours a week for 10 weeks from mid June to late August</li>
</ul>

<h4>Overview of Undergraduate Research Opportunities</h4>

Download Internship Flyer</a> CMOP offers paid undergraduate internships headquartered at Oregon Health &amp; Science University’s west campus in Beaverton, Oregon. Interns receive a stipend of $4,600 and out-of-state students may be eligible for additional housing support at a local apartment complex.</p>
<p>CMOP considers applications from undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors with backgrounds and majors in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, environmental science, mathematics, physics, and others. Prior lab/field experience is of interest but not required. Our past interns have come from a wide range of geographic and academic backgrounds, and have worked collaboratively in several innovative projects.</p>
<p>CMOP interns engage in leading-edge research to understand and predict biological, chemical and physical processes of the river-to-ocean ecosystem, contributing data and analysis that provide guidance for sustainable ecosystem management.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.stccmop.org/news/multimedia/images/photo_gallery_summer_undergraduate_internship_program">View our photo gallery of interns</a> Interns work closely with senior scientists, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students on interdisciplinary projects ranging from physical and biogeochemical oceanography, molecular biology, analytical chemistry, marine genomics, ocean engineering, and computer science. Students participate in a range of activities including oceanographic research cruises, field trips, and a range of seminars on scientific themes, career opportunities and scientific ethics.</p>
