The Hamilton Sundstrand Intern and Co-op programs are the cornerstones of our college recruiting strategy, as students hired into these programs represent our pipeline of future executives! Both programs provide opportunities for short-term work assignments for students pursuing degree programs directly related to our core business.

INTERN PROGRAM

The Intern Program is for students who prefer shorter work periods, usually three months during the summer. The goal of the program is to enhance your academic training, professional growth, and personal development, by relating employment opportunities to your course of study. Thus, ensuring maximum productivity for the company and our interns. A formal agreement is not required with the school to enroll in our Intern Program.

Most internships begin late May through early June, with the selection process culminating in March.

CO-OP PROGRAM

Cooperative Education is a joint effort between business, government, and education that combines classroom theory with career-related work experience. Through Co-op assignments, students alternate semesters of full-time study with semesters of full-time paid employment. Like the Intern Program, the Co-op Program is also designed to enhance a student’s academic training, professional growth, and personal development. Co-op students must be enrolled and maintain a satisfactory academic standing in a formal Cooperative Education Program at their undergraduate institution.

We hire most co-op students in the fall and spring, with selections made in October or February for co-op placements.
